Job description

The role:
As a working Supervisor, to be responsible for the management of security across the contract at night
To operate within the confines of Site Assignment Instructions
To ensure the safety and security of employees, visitors and clients property on the estate
To manage the shift team and Security Control Room operations: allocation of breaks and rotations; ensuring appropriate staffing levels; monitoring attendance; ensuring adherence to policies and procedures 
To implement health and safety policies and emergency procedures
To ensure regular patrols and inspections of the estate in accordance with site instructions; visitors are greeted and relevant security procedures carried out; correct adherence to all reporting structures and maintaining of correct protocol 
To maintain the use of access control and CCTV systems to their fullest potential
Ensure security officers are fully trained and operationally conversant with assigned duties and proper documentation of training records
Reporting, logging and escalating incidents to Helpdesk or National Operation Centre
Monitoring and management of DOB, daily key and ID Card audits and effective handover procedures
To oversee 24/7 night time library opening and Client events on site
To undertake night mobile (vehicular) patrol visits to all sites within the contract if required
Working hours Monday to Friday, 1800 to 0600hrs with flexibility to cover site operational requirements

Profile

The person will have:
SIA Security Licence  essential; experience in a similar role essential
Experience of dealing with people, able to motivate and direct others in a safe and effective way
Reliable, flexible and motivated approach to work, with a positive, customer-focused attitude
Computer literacy with strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
First Aid and Fire Marshall training/certification an advantage
Full driving licence is essential
